– People know the best what they need in their village or town – says Zygmunt Berdychowski, the Chairman of the Economic Forum Programme – that is why the more the responsibility the municipality, district or province take on for the fate of the inhabitants, the more maturity they show and at the same time and they are also prone to better solve their problems. According to Chairman Berdychowski – broadening cooperation between European regions seems natural, because thanks to that the available resources will be more effectively used both from the budget and the numerous European Union programs. – The European Congress of Local Authorities is therefore the place where it is worthwhile to look for the most effective solutions and models of collaboration – emphasizes Zygmunt Berdychowski.
