How it works…

Sending or receiving money is easy, and you don‘t need to have a bank account.

To send money

1. Bring a valid identification document**. Tell the MoneyGram Agent where you need the money to go.

2. Give your funds to the MoneyGram agent. They confirm the fee and give you a receipt and a Reference Number.

3. Pass on the Reference Number to your recipient and let them know how much you’ve sent so they can collect the money.

To receive money

1. Confirm the MoneyGram Reference Number and the amount of money you’ll receive with your sender.

2. Visit your local MoneyGram agent, fill out a Receive Form and show a valid identification document**.

3. The MoneyGram agent will verify your information and that the money is available. Once this has been done, the money will be paid out to you straight away.

 

*Subject to agent hours of operation and local regulations.

**You will need to provide personal identification, usually one of the following valid documents: passport, National Driver’s License or National Identity Card. Requirements vary from country to country.

***In addition to the transfer fees applicable to a transaction, a currency exchange rate set by MoneyGram or its agent will be applied. Prices are subject to change.
