The portal originates from The Netherlands, but it describes the activities of Poles across the globe, showing that the Polish community is active and creative in many countries. Authors of the portal write about Polish culture and education, but also economic matters and sport activities. As pointed out by the founder of the portal, Mariusz Soltanifar, the impulse to start his initiative was to break the existing stereotypes about Poles as immigrants who perform low-skilled, physical labour and are unwilling to integrate in the local community. The portal enjoys a growing popularity, especially amongst the younger generation which is planning to study in Poland, for example. Information on the portal is available in Polish, English and Dutch on the web address linktopoland.com.

The portal has been granted patronage of the honorable former president of Poland, Lech Wałęsa.
