From 22nd May until 26th October 2018 YanAir airline will be offering a direct connection to Odessa by the Black Sea.

YanAir flights are scheduled twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Additional Sunday flights are scheduled for the period from 15 July to 16 September.

The first plane from Odessa (Boeing 737-300) landed on 22 May 2018 in Kraków half an hour before the planned arrival time, at 9.18, and was greeted with a water salute. The scheduled flight time is 1 hour and 55 minutes. The plane took off on a return flight from Kraków to Odessa at 11.00.

The symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony was performed by Radosław Włoszek, CEO at Kraków Airport, and Taras Strigunenko, Commercial Director at YanAir airline. Passengers of the inaugural flight were welcomed with sweet treats.

#flyKRK connection – Odessa

The new #flyKRK connection – Odessa – is the second connection from Kraków Airport to Ukraine. From December passengers can travel to the capital of the country, Kiev, choosing the flights operated by Ukraine International Airlines.

Odessa International Airport is located 7 km southwest from the city centre. Since 2014, the terminal in Odessa has been undergoing thorough upgrading works. The new arrivals/departures terminal was opened in 2016.

Odessa is called the Pearl of the Black Sea and it is a city where everyone will find something for themselves. The number of sunny days exceeds 290 and the old town is buzzing with life around the clock. You cannot get bored here. It is worth visiting the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theatre or attending a concert at the Odessa Philharmonic Hall. Don’t forget about the Archaeological Museum. One of Odessa’s most iconic symbols are the Potemkin Stairs. The stairs are considered a formal entrance into the city. People who love to relax at the seaside will enjoy the sandy beaches and dolphinarium. You can find shelter from the summer heat in the City Garden built at the turn of the 18th and 19th century. It is worth purchasing a OdessaCard, which entitles you to many discounts for museum entrance fees and public transport tickets.
