America provides more than half of world’s production, i.e. 197 thousand tons (the latest data of the Institute of Agriculture and Food for FAOSTAT for 2011), while Canadians produce 112 thousand tons. Although Poland provides only 8.6 thousand tons (in 2011), it still places Poland in third place among the world’s leading producers. This position is strengthening year by year.
