The “Poland” stand is located in hall 10 (A040). This year the fair will be attended, among others, by the Polish Tourist Information Centre in Amsterdam, tourism organisations representing Wielkopolska, Małopolska and Silesia, Eurolot, Polen Reizen, Simonse Tours and the Zdrojewo Hotel. For us Vakantiebeurs is an important element in promoting Poland in the Netherlands. – says Andrzej Pawluszek, the head of the Polish Tourism Organisation in Amsterdam. – In a few days, this fair is visited by nearly 100 000 Dutch people. – adds Andrzej Pawluszek.

During the fair the Polish Tourist Information Centre in Amsterdam organises many promotional events. For example, there will be billboards promoting Poland and encouraging people to visit the Polish stand displayed near the main entrance (visualisation from the latest campaign entitled “Małopolska with Kraków”). At 14:00 on the first day (14th January) there is a cocktail party organised for the tourism sector, journalists and travel bloggers – Polish Happy Hour. Polish delicacies will be served by Klein Zakopane restaurant and the musical setting will be provided by Anna Katyńska cellist duo.

The following days also look very attractive. On 15th January a popular website called Zoover (185 million visitors a year, 45 000 reviewed places) will announce the winner in the competition for the most interesting city trip destination for 2014 (hall 7, 11.45). We already know which place has won. On 16th January (hall 7, 14:00) we will present the best places in Silesia (Silesie: positieve energie) and on 17th January (hall 7, 13:00) there will be a presentation on Wielkopolska organised (Groot Polen: op de stroom van avontuur). – During the presentation we will show beautiful images of modern cities, the abundance of cultural events and many possibilities of active tourism. – says Magdalena Stoch from the Polish Tourist Information Centre in Amsterdam, who will host the presentation prepared by different regions of Poland. – This presentation will make tourists who have already come to our stand convinced that it is really worth visiting Poland. – stresses Magdalena Stoch.

There will also be leaflets promoting a lottery with attractive prizes distributed in all the halls. –Visitors can win a city trip do Warsaw, including the flight with PLL LOT for 2, as well as other prizes. – says Anna Bylica from the Polish Tourist Information Centre in Amsterdam, who coordinates the lottery together with PLL LOT. – Such a contest is a good way to increase interest in our stand and a chance to make valuable contacts. – adds Anna Bylica.

The statistics prepared by the Tourism Institute show an increased interest in the touristic aspects of Poland among Dutch tourists. In 2010 nearly 330 000 Dutch people visited our country. Three years later this number grew up to 400 000.
