It all started with Son Of The Blue Sky

In the 90’s the whole Poland sang songs from the debut album by Wilki: Son Of The Blue Sky, Aborigine, or Eli Lama Sabachthani. The album quickly went platinum (250,000 copies). After the great success, the band went on tour, which lasted almost without interruption for three years. Then, they suddenly suspended touring a few years.

Frontman Robert Gawliński pursued his solo career, which brought, among others, hits like About myself and I became nothing. In 2002, he performed a daring Wilki come back with the album “4”, whose sales reached 100,000 copies. Songs Baska and Urke were not a one-time success. Later, the band released two more studio albums, which also included many hits and covered with gold. Boheme, Love Story, The sun beat shadow, Here I am, and Forever and forever – these are just some of the hits of the band.

In 2009, the group was invited to participate in the concert of the cult world series MTV Unplugged. That was a top performance, in an extraordinary climate, with only the most loyal fans and their closest friends, during which a live album was recorded – another Gold Record in the history of the team. The musicians once again parted ways afterwards, but this time for shorter.

In 2011, after a year-and-a-half break, the band returned to the stage in a refreshed line, the core group formed by Robert Gawliński, Mikis Cupas, and Hubert Gasiul joined by a new bassman, Staszek Wrobel and guitarist, Maciek Gladysz. The band continued to tour extensively, enjoying the unflagging support of the audience, and especially women of all ages.

On November 6, 2012 Wilki released a new album “Light and darkness”. The single, Pure Heart, which promotes the puck was on the top positions of the charts of the biggest radio stations in Poland,

Nature, Life, Liberty, Female, to name but a few – all of these combine the most beautiful songs about love and more than just a concern for Mother Earth and the hippie look at the world. The sounds of guitars, romantic ballads bring us to the dark and shaman-like world, the world that fans of Wilki know well.
