Researchers from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) examined in detail 75 companies traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and for 32 of them, which provided the researchers with all the necessary information, they calculated the index of internationalization. While preparing the index, they took into account 7 factors including for example geographical coverage of foreign investments and their share in the company’s income, employment and assets.

The companies that proved to be the most global were two companies from Eastern Poland – Lubelskie Zakłady Przemysłu Skórzanego Protektor (The Protektor Capital Group from Lublin) and Asseco from Rzeszów. Apart from these companies, firms whose index of internalization was higher than 50% were Arctic Paper, PZ Cormay and Bioton.
