The Feel the Folk concert took place on 26th of May. The dedications to mothers made the day extra special. Not everybody noticed that it was 41 420 day of our era. The concert, which lasted only 10 440 seconds, had 90 performers. During the first dance, the Polonaise a beautiful 3552 steps were made. Together we traversed on average 1.62 yards per step. Adding up all the steps made during this concert, one person would cross a distance of 48.46 miles. You can say that we have come far. The concert was seen by 900 spectators and thanks to the latest technical achievements the performances also featured two delegates of teams in Turkey and Spain, with live coverage from the Sowiński Park.
In closing, it must be mentioned that Bartek gave about six shots of the whip which caused every woman present at this concert to sigh, shriek or make other sounds.
The concert, of course, showed the richness of Polish culture pointing out the various sides of our native folklore. We hope that – as the slogan “Feel the Folk” says – a lot of spectators felt the power of folklore. Let what cannot be described by words be expressed in photographs.
