The publication will not only have entertainment value but will also be educational. Through fiction and fantasy, the stories touch on subjects and issues that challenge us in every day life: relationships, finances, philosophical questions, addictions, etc.  These stories can also bring some distance and allow us not to treat everything so seriously.  Rather, they will give us a variety of reactions and more conscious decision making.  These light stories are designed to support personal growth and integrate these parts of ourselves that, similar to dream characters, may be conflicted or not know why they exist, but they all ask for our attention.

Imagine you have a of job to help others. However your first task is to help… a truck who not only talks but has a habit of speeding up and hitting a tree. Somewhere there on the road stands a Dutch Wind who stopped blowing due to marijuana odor present in all the country of Tulips. It simply slowed him down. That’s of course a metaphor for dealing with addictions present in “Lady Truck”.

What would you do if you would die and had a chance to become an angel or quite alive had an ability to see someone who claims comes from heaven? “Angels and potatoes”

Quite suddenly from the above falls a Fortune Teller. She can read cards, but is helpless on Earth “Rheino and Fortune Teller”

And what about if you really don’t want to do anything and nothing makes sense and the doctors are telling you, you have a depression, but you remember you always wanted to study a law, it is just this strange weakness… “Irenka”

How these stories were created?

Joanna Pilatowicz, the author says: “Some things in our life are happening itself and these stories belong to such things. This is the feeling as if you cannot stop writing, as if somebody would dictate all for you and the characters would scream to your ear who and what they will say. So for peace of mind it is better to write it down. And more seriously… These stories were created from personal observations and experience, especially my time abroad, perhaps quite funny, but it depends from what perspective you look at it…

She wrote them when she was still living in the Netherlands as an Immigrant from Poland. Writing wasn’t her first choice although she contributed to the Access magazine in the Hague, giving some tips for the Immigrants. First of all she was a coach, graduated from Warsaw University and dancer/ contemporary dance teacher. Currently she lives in Germany where she cooperates with Nostos dance theatre, dance schools and continues her artistic expression also in abstract art and writings.

Travelling and living in different countries, living in multicultural environment, influenced Joanna’s artistic expression as well as personal philosophy, belief system.

She is mostly interested in relationships between philosophical approaches such as science, shamanism, spirituality, personal beliefs and their connection to expression in a more artistic way in dancing, singing, painting, writing, etc. basically how our thinking influences our expression in life on many fields.
