The Polish-Dutch MMusic Foundation invites you to the Polish Tour of Tango Extremo. The group will visit six Polish cities between 20 and 28 June 2015.

Since its creation in 2003, Tango Extremo has undergone a significant transformation. They have performed on almost all stages in The Netherlands and in numerous locations abroad. The group was founded by violinist Tanya Schaap who, from the very beginning, was the artistic motor of the band. The band’s line-up is quite unconventional, which presents many opportunities and gives it an extremely unique sound.

Tango Extremo presents a very varied repertoire. It is a mixture of classical music, jazz, Brazilian music and tango nuevo. Over the years, the group has specialised in Argentina’s Rio de la Plata regional music. It is difficult to imagine the Dutch music scene without Tango Extremo, an outstanding band that gives concerts at the biggest jazz festivals, classical concert halls and tango halls.

The group cooperates with a number of prominent musicians from all over the world. Tango Extremo’s composers and arrangers include such musicians as Martin Fondse, Ilja Reijngoud, Onno Krijn, Renard Aust, Wim Warman (Netherlands), Tomás Gubitch (Argentina), Gustavo Mozzi (Argentina), Francesco Venerucci (Italy) and Felipe Perez Santiago (Mexico).

Tango Extremo has performed in a number of countries, such as Italy, Croatia, Mexico, Turkey, Kurdistan, France, the UK, Belgium, South Korea, Uruguay, Portugal, Ireland, Russia, South Africa, Botswana and China.

In 2009, the musicians performed as the only non-Argentine group at the Buenos Aires Tango Festival – the world’s most prestigious event devoted to the dance.

In 2011, Tango Extremo presented their new programme – Viva la Vida! – in Dutch theatres, but also in Iceland, Greenland, Aruba, Sint Maarten, Venezuela, Ecuador and Colombia. In 2012, the group presented its sixth album – Toujours Bizarre – and set off on a tour to Bolivia, Germany and Switzerland. Since 2013, the group has been playing concerts all over the world and has also presented its new programmes of Maestros and Havana in Dutch theatres.

During their tour in Poland, Tango Extermo will perform in six cities:
