Editor in Chief’s Note
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Today, on this brisk August morning we are starting this great, common venture. We are celebrating the first issue of our newspaper, which is to be different than all. And it is by no means just another marketing slogan. We can prove our exceptionality on multiple fronts.
Firstly, we have challenged ourselves with promoting Polish culture on the American continent. Secondly, our newspaper is focused on high level journalism supplied by recognised authors and not just plain news feeds. Thirdly, we are de facto the only large Polish diaspora bilingual newspaper. And therefore, some readers who do not speak Polish but have strong bonds to Poland and Polish culture can still benefit from it. Forthly, and what is really important, we are the only free Polish newspaper issued both, in the United States and Canada. And finally, we integrate Poles dispersed all over America with the portal www.thepolandtimes.com and Facebook profile, which we hope you will ‘like’.
We hope that you will remain with The Poland Times from this very first issue. We promise that we shall do all we possibly can to grow this newspaper in quality and meet all your expectations.
