As every year, Future4Build will be held in the form of an innovative business platform allowing the exchange of experiences and information on sustainable development, with a focus on the ecological, economic and social conditions. Better buildings are the investments in the better future but the infrastructure is only one of the aspects of the conference. While preparing the program and the formula of Future4Build 2013 we are focusing on four main areas: environment, economy, society and heritage – says Svetlana Robinson, Future4Build Event Director. – Our goal is to present the idea of sustainable development in a comprehensive way and in the wide economic context.

Future4Build brings together prominent experts and major institutional partners. The conference is held under the patronage of such institutions as: United Nations Global Compact, the President of Warsaw, The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Society of Polish Town Planners, Burro Happold and the Climate Coalition. In 2013, during the two days of conference organizers has planned a dozen or so of panel discussions, presentations, debates and specialist workshops with the participation of Polish and international experts. Participation in Future4Build 2013 was announced among others by an architect and planner Guy Perry and architect responsible for the development of the Sydney Opera House Marek Krawczyński. The leading theme of this year’s event will be the idea of promoting sustainable urban development – added Svetlana Robinson. – We want to initiate a dialogue between participants: architects, engineers, developers, environmentalists, experts in the planning and implementation of modern, environmentally sustainable urban solutions and representatives of government agencies and local governments. We want to use the formula of a positive controversy to invite responsible people to a constructive discussion and to action.Issues discussed during Future4Build 2013 will include:

- Passivhouse – what don’t you know yet?

Formula of the event
Future4Build is a CONFEX event so it is a combination of a conference and an exhibition (expo). This form allows participants to gain knowledge and share it through participation both in substantive discussions and workshops as well as through visiting the fair. During the expo, which is an integral part of the event, the latest green technologies and innovative solutions for the infrastructure investment business will be presented. The exhibition is open to all visitors, including those seeking information about the construction of a house or interested in environmental issues.
