Tour de Pologne is a connection between sport rivalry of the best cyclists and building positive, modern image of Poland in the world. By dint of television production, using most advanced technology, making use of wireless cameras and helicopters, we could watch the cyclists and promote the most beautiful landscapes of Poland. It is worth to add that twenty years passed yet from the beginning of cooperation between Lang Team and Polish Television in organizing the race. Bogusław Piwowar, member of TVP joint-stock company board, received in acknowledgement leader’s yellow shirt.
This year’s, jubilee race, started in Italian region Trentino and ended in Cracow. Cyclists covered over 1200 kilometers. They were supported by over 2,5 million fans on the track.

For the second year in a row the Lang Team stands a special award for the best Polish cyclist of Tour de Pologne and his first trainer. This time Rałaf Majka was awarded. Cyclist of group Saxo – Tinkoff ended rivalry at 4 th place. Another honoured person was trainer Zbigniew Klęka, under his supervision the highest classified at the moment Pole in UCI ranking was collecting his first cycling experiences.
–Tour de Pologne is a fantastic publicity of Poland in the world and cycling in our country. In this year’s race I had chances to be on the winners’ stand and actually in the last moment I fell on the 4th position, but I think it is a quite good result for a second participation in this competition – says Rafał Majka. – In the future I will try to reach a better score – adds 4th cyclist of 70th Tour de Pologne UCI World Tour.
On the summing-up meeting of 70th Tour de Pologne UCI World Tour appeared also other Polish representatives of worldwide peleton. In Polish Television’s headquarter appeared cyclists such as Michał Kwiatkowski (Omega Pharma-Quick Step), Bartosz Huzarski (NetApp Endura), Mateusz Taciak (CCC Polsat Polkowice) and Bartłomiej Matysiak (CCC Polsat Polkowice). Also trainer of Polish team, Piotr Wadecki came to the meeting.
It is worth to underline that Tour de Pologne is not only a big race for professional cyclists, but also many supporting events. On the same tracks on which professional cyclists compete, children and amateurs race each other. In this year’s cycle Nutella Mini Tour de Pologne took part almost 1000 young bike lovers. In Amateurs Tour de Pologne competed over 1200 people. Some part of registration fees was donated to Ewa Błaszczyk’s Fundation “AKOGO?”
