The Polish disruption

2500 participants will gather in the capital of Poland to discuss and exchange knowledge about startup and business ecosystems. The selection of Warsaw as a conference venue is not fortuitous. Well-developed communication infrastructure allows to invite guests from the furthest corners of the world. The Polish tech community has grown significantly over the past few years and according to the Startup Poland report from 2015 the startup community includes more than 2400 companies, most of them operating in Warsaw. The proof also lies in numerous startup hubs, incubators and events like Wolves Summit. The conference welcomes its 4th edition stronger than ever with 250 investors, 300 executives and 350 startups on board.

A day for investors and startups

Startups and investors are given an additional day (24th October) to network and participate in the Great Pitch qualifications. It’s a competition for aspiring startups where, depending on their stages of development, they can win $100 000 in cash and investment or a media package. Companies have 3 minutes to convince an international group of investors and potential business partners to their ideas. Investors will also have the chance to meet each other during networking activities set up to exchange experiences and good practices in a circle of investing experts.

Research and development

One of the innovations introduced to Wolves Summit is a separate day for representatives of science, higher education and business communities. They will allmeet on 27th October at Wolves Summit R&D to exchange views on implementing innovation in Polish business. The debate will cover such topics as technology transfer, research infrastructure, the acceleration of companies’ global development and more. Guests include delegates from universities in Cambridge and Oxford, Fraunhofer Institute, The World Bank and other institutions engaged in research and development. Participants will have the chance to meet them in person and exchange business cards during mentoring sessions, 1:1 meetings and thank to the free networking area.

Here to inspire

Wolves Summit is a great source of relevant knowledge on technology and entrepreneurship. A representation of startup, business and tech communities will speak during keynotes and panels about startups’ activity, brand image, marketing and methods of financing. World’s best speakers and professionals present at the conference in October include Tim Draper, Per Schlingmann, Berg Moe, Richard Lorenzen, Alon Lifshitz and many more. With 3 stages for startups, business growth and developers available everyone will find inspiration for further education and development.

Match and meet

Networking at Wolves Summit is at a remarkably high level with 1:1 meetings, a matchmaking tool and evening events dedicated to both all attendees as well as a circle of investors, speakers and managers. Organizers are also providing free networking areas, where attendees can meet and initiate business relations. Matchmaking enables participants to set up many meetings with specific people before the conference begins. This way they can fill their calendars and make the most out of their time at Wolves, even if it’s their first business networking event.

Speeddating

The idea of speed dates has been transferred to Wolves Summit. 350 startups and 250 investors can meet in person and talk business for 15 minutes before switching to another person. It makes networking more efficient and less time-consuming. The feedback on young company’s idea is invaluable and allows to perfect the project. Interestingly, the most active startups had more than 42 1:1 meetings with investors. New contacts may in fact result in actual long-term relationships, acquiring financing and new clients or partners.

Participants from around the world

The conference is going to gather 2500 attendees from more than 50 countries who operate in 40 different sectors. Among them people from Australia, United Kingdom, United States, India, Germany or South Korea. It’s a place for developing business relations, finding clients and exploring new investment opportunities. The fourth edition of Wolves Summit is connected with introducing new elements to the agenda and opening to other areas, hence Wolves Summit R&D and focusing on implementing innovation in business.
