Aleksandra Pędraszewska has won the Female Undergraduate of the Year Award sponsored by Rolls-Royce. She wins a 10-week paid summer internship at the company.

Aleksandra graduated from high school in Warsaw with 44 points in the IB examination. She is a second year student in Land Economy, combining law, economics and environmental studies at the University of Cambridge. As president of the CU Polish Society, she co-organised the conference directed at students conducting their research abroad, and initiated a “Next Step: Poland” event of active learning about career opportunities in Eastern Europe, with a budget of over £12,000. Aleksandra completed internships in areas of venture capital, sales, law and communications, and led an NGO fighting youth unemployment. She is also a keen volleyball player, representing the university.

 

The TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year is an annual awards competition which aims to find the best undergraduates in the UK. Prizes include work placements, exclusive overseas trips and much more. The 2015 competition was entered by more than 3,500 students from over 130 different universities.
