The “All of Polonia Reads to Children” project is a new initiative of the Polish national campaign “All of Poland Reads to Kids” aimed at strengthening activities which promote reading to children in the Polish diaspora. More than 60 persons from educational institutions and organizations from nine countries: Austria, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the USA, were invited to participate in the project.

The subject of the competition is any event in Polish history. The contest is open to children aged 9-11 years, either of Polish nationality or having Polish roots and living permanently abroad. Works can be submitted until 10 October 2013.

Young Poles can now play and learn the language together in a newly opened Young Poles’ Club in Chile’s capital, Santiago. Kids and their mums meet once a week and the initiative is supported by the Polish Embassy in Santiago.
