On December 9 in Berlin the 2017 European Film Awards ceremony was held. Komunia (Communion) by Anna Zamecka and Twój Vincent (Loving Vincent) by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, films co-financed by the Polish Film Institute were recognized by the European Film Academy as Best European Documentary and Best Animated Feature Film. Katarzyna Lewińska received the Award for European Costume Designer.
Netia Off Camera invites you to its 10th birthday. Guests from all over the world, best films of the year, highest prizes in this part of Europe – Netia Off Camera has been promoting independent cinema for a decade, appreciating creators speaking their own language. The celebration of cinematic diversity take place in Krakow from 28th April to 7th May 2017.

Andrzej Wajda, the Polish and international cinema legend, died on 9 October 2016 in Warsaw. He was 90 years old. His last film, Powidoki, is Poland’s candidate for this year’s Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
