Play Poland Film Festival – the biggest celebration of Polish cinema abroad – starts next month, 9th October. This year the event extends out of Great Britain and will be held in Canada, United States of America and Norway, being a real treat for cinema lovers.

In 2014, music aficionados all over the world celebrate the 100th anniversary of Andrzej Panufnik’s birthday – a Polish emigrant and one of the most acclaimed composers. The Emigration Museum in Gdynia joins this celebration by organizing a unique meeting with this “20th century classic’s ” heritage. Thanks to a symphonic concert conducted by maestro Jerzy Maksymiuk, a chamber music concerto, various film screenings, lectures, and workshops for people of all ages, on 6-7th of September, Gdynia will resonate with music of the highest quality. It is time for “The Return of Panufnik”!

One of the most magical light festivals in Europe – Bella Skyway Festival – will be held in Torun, between 26-30th August 2014. For those several days Toruń will be transformed by the means of light into a huge experimental laboratory. Installations presented during the festival will become time machines taking visitors into a breathtaking journey in the space-time.
