The capital city of Italy hosted the event entitled “The Evening of the Polish Economy” that was dedicated to Polish participation in the next year’s International EXPO Exhibition in Milan. Polish side was represented at the event by undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy Arkadiusz Bąk and PAIiIZ president & Commissioner General of the Polish Section of EXPO 2015, Sławomir Majman.

“Poland will present its famous optimism that Europe needs so much”, argued Sławomir Majman during the meeting with Italian companies. ”Feeding the planet, energy for life” is the official motto of EXPO 2015 that will be hold in Milan between 1 May and 31 October 2015. The exhibition will be attended by about 150 countries around the world, including Poland. Next year’s edition of the exhibition is dedicated to the agri-food sector that is considered as Polish export specialty.

In 2013, on the list of the largest foreign investors supported by PAIiIZ there were 78 companies with Italian capital. On the other hand, Polish companies present on Italian market invest mainly in pharmaceutical, automotive, construction, trade and transport sectors. In terms of invested capital, Bioton is considered as the biggest Polish investors in Italy. The company has invested €17m there.
