It’s the third day of the race for the Tour de Pologne. Today the pack will face the longest stage in this 73rd edition of the Polish race, a good 240 km, from Zawiercie to Nowy Sacz. In the first part of the race, the riders can admire the pristine natural beauty of the hills between Krakow and Czestochowa. Then the first intermediate sprint will take place in Wadowice, birthplace of Karol Wojtyla (Pope John Paul II). In the second part things are sure to heat up between the hills of Wysokie, Mysokie and Kunów. Last year, this is where the day’s attackers managed to make some lead way and it turned into an all-Polish party with Maciej Bodnar winning the stage and Kamil Zielinski in the yellow jersey. However, anyone who wants to win today’s stage will have to contend with the sprinters’ thirst for victory.
