Browsing: Krakow Airport

The investment works in the operational area at the Kraków Airport have been completed. They involved developing the airport apron and reconstructing the taxiways. The total space of renovated and constructed areas covers around 20 hectares, including the concrete surface of 15 hectares. Nearly 90% of all the works have been completed within the project co-financed from the EU Cohesion Fund (the Kraków Airport – Existing Infrastructure Development Project).

This winter passengers from Krakow will have at their disposal more long-haul flights. So far the most popular destinations for them have been Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Edinburgh, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei. It is going to change soon. The upcoming KLM winter schedule, starting 25 October, will bring more convenient long-haul connections especially to the United States and Canada. There is also a special price Krakow-New York City flight from 1890 PLN round trip, available only until 30 September!

Kraków Airport has for a long time been undergoing the biggest investment project in its history. For passengers, the airport is being remodeled and expanded. We talk to Jan Pamuła, head of Kraków airport, about these changes, the progress of the investment, and plans for the future.
