One of the biggest planetary robotics competitions in the world, the European Rover Challenge, opened its registration and introduced a new certification process. On top of the tasks based on actual missions performed by rovers on Mars and the Moon, ERC will validate the competence and skills of future engineers. From now on, academic teams worldwide can register for the competition and therefore get a chance to obtain the ERC Space & Robotics Industry Standard Practice Programme certificate.

New location, two parallel categories – for students’ and professional teams, tasks inspired by real challenges, rules prepared on the basis of guidelines from projects of space agencies, such as NASA or ESA and the chance to take part in the analog Mars mission on the Arabian Peninsula – all this is waiting for the participants of this one of the most important robotics-space event in Europe.

Teams of more than 300 designers from around the world will compete in the Mars rovers competition, government representatives will present the assumptions of Polish Space Strategy, and the general public will be able to take part in the extraordinary demonstrations and workshops. In the second weekend of September in Podkarpacie the universe will be at your fingertips.
