During the fair, the participants could visit three special zones – READY, STUDY, GO! POLAND!, VISIT POLAND and GET WELL IN POLAND, where various offers were presented. The fair was also a great occasion to see the historic interiors of The Joseph Raphael De Lamar House, located at 233 Madison Avenue, which is the headquarter of the Polish Consulate nowadays.

The first zone was dedicated to the presentations of the representatives of the following universities: Jagiellonian University, The Center for Polish Language and Culture in the World of the Jagiellonian University, Poznan University of Medical Sciences Medical University of Silesia, Medical University of Lublin, Medical University of Bialystok, Bialystok University of Technology and Dietl University from Krakow. The visitors could also hear the presentation, which was prepared by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and learn about the Polish higher education system and opportunities that studying in Poland may give.

In the special zone VISIT POLAND Polish tourist attractions were promoted such as Krakow City, Masurian Lake District, Swietokrzyskie Mountains, Wooden Tserkvas of the Carpathian Region, the Baltic Sea, Lublin Upland and attractions in Mazovia Province.

The young Polish Americans very often spend vacation in Poland, during which they visit their families and relatives. They also make use of medical services and recreational resorts. That is why, the third zone GET WELL IN POLAND was created to present some Polish institutions: The “Wieliczka” Salt Mine Health Resort, Klinika Krakowska, Specialist Medical Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery SCM, ‘Aesthetica Dermadent’ Professional Dental Studio.

The fair, which is organized for the third time, is a response to the high costs of study in USA. Young people of Polish origin who graduate from American high schools try to find alternatives. Polish Universities guarantee high quality education in much lower costs. The statistics of Polish Consulate General in New York show that in 2013, the number of student visas given increased by one third, in comparison with the previous year.
