The conference in Karpacz will be already the 9th edition of the Energy Forum. The participants include prominent politicians, representatives of energy companies as well as experts, all of whom influence the energy sector which is a key area of the economy.

The influence of the new EU CO2 emission reduction targets on the competitiveness of the European economies will be one of the most important subjects of the conference. The participants of the debate “EU Climate Package 2030 and its Impact on the European Industry” will discuss the importance of the guidelines of the European climate policy adopted in October 2014 and their influence on industry especially in the energy, construction and chemical sectors. The following speakers confirmed their participation: Christopher Huhne, former British Minister for Energy (2010-2012); Hans-Joachim Reck, CEO of the German Association of Local Utilities (VKU); David Buchan, expert of the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies; Matteo Mazzoni, Senior Market Analyst from NE Nomisma Energia.

The conference will embrace more than 30 events: thematic blocs, plenary sessions, panel discussions, reports, presentations, lectures, key-note addresses dedicated to various energy issues, such as: Clean Coal Technologies – Prospects for Development; In Search of an Optimal Energy Mix; Nuclear Energy in Europe – How Much Politics, How Much Economy?; Shale gas – a Chance or an Illusion?; Gas Corridors in Europe – Alternative Connections; Common EU Energy Policy: Wishful Thinking or Reality?
