A large number of Poles living abroad have a problem with access to the Polish education. The situation of the Saturday’s schools shows how the demand for lessons in Polish language has largely increased in the recent years. More and more people leave the country in search of a job and as a result there are long queues to those centres that used to be more cameral in the past. Unfortunately, most of them is not able to provide education for all people, who eager to start learning. This lead to overcrowding those schools and the teachers must work with larger group of students.
In Europe, the Saturday’s schools are one of the most popular way that gives a child chance to have a contact with the native language, although many parents complain that such learning isn’t enough intensive. In order to solve this problem and facilitate the teachers of Saturday’s schools work in those difficult conditions Polish virtual schools “Libratus” offer combing home-teaching by using the Internet with learning in Saturday’s school.
Those of the Saturday’s school that will decide to on the cooperation may be given the access to the educational materials published on Educational Web Platform created by Polish virtual schools “Libratus”.
Moreover, the schools that join this project with at least five students will have access to a individual account on Educational Web Platform and the teachers will be able to use the lessons plans, which help them to work with children.
If from a given Saturday’s school at least ten students enrol, the teachers will receive a free set of books that is used in realize the core curriculum in Polish Internet Schools “Libratus”.
This solution allows parents to teach the child at home during the week and on weekends they can consult the problems they encounter with the teacher.
With combined effort we can take care of the high level of Polish education abroad. We would like to encourage all Saturday’s schools to cooperate with us.
