The Lodz Chamber of Industry and Commerce and The Lodz Special Economic Zone are once again partnering to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to establish international contacts. Lecturers at the Congress will represent Polish organisations from all over the world. This will be the perfect occasion to share experiences and exchange business contacts, establish relationships, learn about the incentives for investors, and finally, integrate. During the Congress, there will be a chance to meet Poles who have found success abroad, graduated from the top universities worldwide, as well as actively and effectively integrated Polish communities. The special guest of the Congress will be Professor Grzegorz Kolodko – former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, one of the main architects of Polish economic reforms. The meeting is going to take place under the patronage of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency and Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.

This will be a unique opportunity to show our countrymen how well our country is flourishing and convince them to forge closer business interaction with their homeland. We should not demonise emigrants and stigmatise them with labels such as ‘fugitives’ or ‘bread-seekers’. Today’s young emigrants are often successful people, who can speak several languages, who occupy high positions in international corporations. They are people who have graduated from the world’s best universities. “George Bernard Shaw was once asked: ‘Sir, what is more important to success: talent or hard work?’ He answered: ‘Which is more important to a bicycle: the front or rear wheel?’.  I believe that we should not forget that the bicycle has two wheels. Millions of Poles leaving our country is not a problem. This is a great and unique opportunity for the country to have great representation throughout the world. I believe that the Congress ‘Made with Poland’ will become a permanent event in Lodz,” says Robert Fiutak, initiator and coordinator of the Congress on behalf of Lodz Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Taking all of this into account, the ‘Made with Poland’ Congress is intended to serve as a platform for sharing knowledge and business experiences for everyone who considers Poland – and Lodz in particular – as a potential market for investments and transfer of know-how. The “Made with Poland” slogan perversely refers to a common association with the label saying “Made in…”. “Made with Poland” is an idea and inspiration for investors to come and ‘do business with Poland’, i.e. in Poland, with Poland, and with the Poles.

The Lodz Chamber of Industry and Commerce is the largest financially self-governing economic organisation in the Lodz region. The Chamber is a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience and contacts between entrepreneurs, promoting their activities, representing their interests to the local authorities and the state. The Chamber disseminates CSR ethics.
