What’s the competition about? The best race pilots in the world will be flying at great speed just above the ground, undergoing huge G-forces, manoeuvring between air-filled pylons. Spectators will gather in a special zone with a seaside boulevard overlooking the track – no entry fees!
Each of the rounds of the World Championship Red Bull Air Race is an unusual event. Lasting two days, rivalry always brings a lot of surprises and is a real lesson for even the greatest masters whose smallest mistakes can cost a lot… This season, engines and propellers have been standardized, thus making the fight for the top places more evenly matched than ever before. With an average length of six kilometres, it takes about a minute to lap the racing track twice! What matters is the precision and fluidity of the manoeuvres, performed at a speed of about 370 km/h, which is not easy…
Admission to the competition is free of charge. Only special zones will be ticketed.
