Teams from Austria, Belorussia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine came this week to Gliwice to take part in the 4th Men’s and Women’s Volleyball World Championship of Polish Communities.
After four days of very balanced competition, the winners have emerged. Among the women’s teams, the best was the Polish Sports Club “Sokol” from Belarus while Ezerzeme 1 Daugavpils from Latvia was the leading men’s team.
The best players in this year’s championship were Ilona Dacewicz (Fortuna Soleczniki Lithuania) and Dimitri Romaniuk (Sokol Grodno).
Fortuna Soleczniki Lithuania (women) and Polish Sports Club “Sokol” Belarus (men) took second place while Team Wiktoria from Ukraine (women) and Łotwa II (men) came third.

The 4th Men’s and Women’s Volleyball World Championship of Polish Communities was organised by Semper Polonia Foundation and the City of Gliwice, in cooperation with the Association SIP-PA.
