For several years Polish cosmetics industry is continuously flourishing. Polish brands such as Irena Eris, Dax Cosmetics and Inglot can be found all over the world. Hence, it has been chosen by the Ministry of Economy as one of 15 flagship branches of industry promoting Polish economy on international markets.

According to the latest survey among the entrepreneurs participating in the Eastern Poland Economic Promotion Programme, the region – mainly associated with the food industry – is becoming an important manufacturer of yachts and underwear. New contracts in the yachting industry are worth up to PLN 19m, while in the underwear industry – PLN 13m.

Solaris Bus & Coach is beginning an expansion of its plant in Bolechowo near Poznań. The €11- m-worth investment has been designed to produce newest Solaris Urbino bus and increase the factory’s production capacity.

A stamp issued by Polish Post was recognized as the most beautiful of all last- year issues at the 44th Asiago (Italy) Philatelic Fine Art Awards. The jury voted unanimously in favor for the Polish entry.

Solaris buses won the prize of the best commercial vehicles of 2014 in Germany, midi buses – import category. The award was given by three trade magazines: Lastauto Omnibus, Trans Aktuell and FERNFAHRER.

According to a recent KPMG report on Poland’s confectionery industry, exports have become one of the most important factors of the sector’s development. Sweets made in Poland are available in more than 60 countries around the world.

The “Polish Diaspora Product of the Year” Award is a new initiative undertaken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and it fits into the programme of cooperation and support for the Polish diaspora. The award is addressed to Poles and people of Polish origin living abroad. Its aim is to promote their business and economic activities but also to spread the knowledge, achievements and experience of entrepreneurs who come from Poland in our country.
