Hubertus for the youngest children took place for its third time. The festival’s hosts were Elżbieta and Czesław Lang. Over 300 people, adults and children took part in the event. At the beginning there were games and contests for kids with valuable prizes to win. Children had to prove their knowledge of safe horseback riding procedures, competing in obstacle courses and slalom. There was also a fox hunt!

– Nowadays it is hard to make children go out. At our festival we want to show them why it is worth to spend time in an active way and how much fun it can be– says Elżbieta Lang, one of the hosts. – The experiences from last year’s and this year’s event made us realize that it is worth the effort to take up such challenges. I think that we were successful in planting the passion of horseback riding and bicycling in many of them –the organizer of the event added.

Hurbertus was not exclusively a festival for horsemen, but it also was a festival for bicyclists!

During the festival kids could test themselves at bicycle racing in the Czesław Lang Cup. Over 40 young cyclists took part in the 1.5 kilometer race. Karina Zielińska turned out to be the best among girls, with the best among boys being Bartosz Binczyk.

Everyone knows that I love cycling, but not everybody knows that my other love is for horses. Hubertus in Baranów is an excellent opportunity to combine these two passions of mine and most of all to show children how they can spend their free time in an interesting and active way – Czesław Lang says. – I am happy that our festival gets more popular every year and I can assure you that we will be continuing this event in the future – the Director-General of the Lang Team sums up.

At the festival however, the fox chase, local delicacies and games alongside fire were not overlooked.

The fox chase, which was personified by Mateusz Kiempa (CSJ Biały Bór), took several minutes. Czesław Lang and Łukasz Kaźmierczak (champion of Poland in eventing in 2009 and 2010) were among the horsemen who tried to catch him. The host of the event turned out to be the most efficient. Czesław Land tore of the fox-brush from the arm of Mateusz Kiempa after a successful chase and it was he who triumphed in the competition. The cup was given by an honorary guest – Bogusław Jarecki – a polish horseman, coach, Olympian and multiple Polish medalist in eventing. At the festival in Baranów, Kamil Rajnert also showed up – an Olympian from Athens, multiple medalist of the Polish Championship in eventing.

The festival was under the patronage of the Kołczygłów prefect Wacław Kozłowski was the organizer of the event alongside the Lider Sports Club.
