The Academy of Polish Language, the oldest language school in Gdańsk with the accreditation of the Gdańsk Board of Education, would like to invite kids and teenagers between 7 and 18 years old from Polish communities to a summer camp with Polish.
The summer camp will take place in Łapino near Gdańsk between 8th and 22nd July as well as 13th and 27th August 2017.
Learning through play
The camp programme is a mixture of learning Polish and having fun. The quality of the Polish course is guaranteed by teachers from the Academy of Polish Language.
Classes usually take place directly after breakfast and, depending on the age group (7-11, 11-14, 14-18), are followed by plays, games or artistic workshops. In this way learning becomes easy and enjoyable. Classes are organised in such a way that everything kids learn in the morning, including new vocabulary, can be used and practised during afternoon integration classes, trips and games with friends.
There are so many attractions planned that kids will not be bored even on a rainy day.
Łapino near Gdańsk – forest, beach, lake and unique microclimate
Summer camp with Polish is organised in the Dorota holiday resort surrounded by a pine forest and located by the Łapińskie Lake, which is known from the unique microclimate.
The camp participants are accommodated in 4- and 6-person wooden cottages. Each of them features a modern bathroom and a kitchenette (www.lapino.pl).
Kids can also use a special, separated sandy beach, guarded swimming area, sport fields, playground and rope park.
The security of the campers, games and sport attraction is guaranteed by the professional guardians from the GURU Company. Thanks to their long experience in organising holiday camps for kids and teenagers there will definitely be many ideas for group games. During the summer camp with Polish kids will have an opportunity to build a real rocket, learn traditional campfire songs as well as take part in an orienteering games, quizzes and discos.
Trips, excursions and integration
The location of the camp makes it easy to travel to the seaside as well as to the nearby tourist attractions. During the summer camp with Polish kids will have a chance to participate in a canoeing rally along the Radunia and Piaśnica rivers, drive a handcar, go to the Malbork Castle and take part in a location-based game around Gdańsk. It will also be a great opportunity to enrich they vocabulary and practise it every day.
Food
The holiday resort features a restaurant that serves food. On trip days kids are provided with lunch boxes. After they return hot supper is served.
Transport
Campers will have their own buses to go on tours around the area.
Organisers of the summer camp with Polish also provide transfer from the Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport to the holiday resort in Łapino. The transfer costs 50 PLN.
