Association of Polish Diaspora World Championship “Poland – Austria”, Association of Szczyrk the Brigand and the city of Szczyrk invite everyone to the Winter Edition of Run for the Heart of Szczyryk the Brigand, which will start on January 26, 2014 (Sunday) at 2.00 p.m. on the St. Jacob Square.

It is a sport and recreational event which serve to charity and seeks to support the Zbigniew Religa Foundation for Cardiac Surgery Development in Zabrze. The event with such purpose takes place around Vienna’s Town Hall for 12 years and enjoys continued interest. That is why the organizers decided that they can also help sick children in Szczyrk, while organizing a big party for absolutely everyone!

The idea behind the event is to finish as many laps of the designated route as possible – a technique can be used. Everyone can participate in the event. The winter route may be crossed by cross-country skiing, jogging, sledging, on foot in a group of friends or Nordic walking.

People with disabilities, on wheelchairs are also welcomed.

One lap of the route = a specific amount that will be spent to help sick children.

The run will be accompanied by additional attractions, i.a. music performances, stalls with handicraft of folk culture, health units and stalls of partners of the event. The organizer announced valuable prizes for the most active participants.
