June marks the launch of an exhibition featuring nearly 500 posters selected for the 24th edition of the International Poster Biennale in Warsaw, a prestigious graphic design competition presenting artworks from all over the world, created in 2012–2013. On 7 June, the International Jury will announce its verdict. The exhibition will be open to the public until 14 September 2014.

At this year’s festival The Award of Emigration will be given for the first time at the Museum in Gdynia for the best movie about migration. The winner will be selected by the Jury: Andrzej Kołodyński – film critic, Maria Zmarz-Koczanowicz – director, Karolina Grabowicz-Matyjas – Director of Emigration Museum in Gdynia. The Award is worth 2000€.

Poland’s capital has become the backdrop for the surprising twists in a movie plot, as filming of the latest Bollywood production with the participation of Indian film star Salman Khan has just started. Warsaw will also play one of the film’s main characters.
