In April 2012, a jubilee began. The 10th New Polish Film Festival FILMLAND POLEN commence and as usual shall continue through to December. The films are shown once a month in three German cities: Hamburg, Hannover and Lübeck.

He is our national pride, symbol and icon of Polish culture. The vast majority of Poles can distinguish him from Mickiewicz and Kosciuszko. We also have no doubts that he lived in the nineteenth century, inspired by Polish folk music, composed music for the piano, created mazurkas, polonaises, nocturnes and ballades. Moreover, it is commonly known that his image appears on vodka, chocolates and postage stamps.
Yesterday, the 24th edition of the Polish Film Festival in America (PFFA) has ended. It is one of the biggest Polish film showcase, and in this year’s poll of weekly magazine the New City Chicago was chosen – “Best International Film Festival in Chicago”.
