Well-organised events, exceptional musicians, honoured guests, and above all, 119 candidates and 25 finalists – because this contest is organised with them in mind. Four editions of The Pole of the Year in The Netherlands contest are already behind us.
Prize of double entry (worth 115 euro) to the Pole of The Year in the Netherlands Gala 2016, to win every week in October and November. The Gala takes place on November 19, Studio’s Aalsmeer. Winners will be notified by email and presented on Facebook.
Włodek Nielipiński, author of the travel blog “Mr. Garlic on Travel” is currently on a journey through Southeast Asia. Starting from Poland through Sweden, Włodek will visit Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore. The tour will cover almost 35 thousand kilometers. Currently Włodek is in Singapore and in a talk with Mariusz Soltanifar comments about his expedition.
Together with the Polonus Foundation, we invite you to nominate your candidates for the Pole of the Year in the Netherlands. Submissions are accepted until 31st August, 2016.
After four highly successful editions of the Pole of the Year in the Netherlands Contest, already came time for the anniversary edition of ‘Polonus 2016’. Foundation Polonus looking for candidates for this prestigious award. Prizes will be awarded at the ceremony on November 19 in Aalsmeer.

The “Teraz Polska” Competition Chapter has chosen the laureates of the “Outstanding Pole” Competition for the seventh time. This year two out of three awards were given to women. This year’s laureates are Dr Irena Eris, Elżbieta Wysoczańska and Professor Krzysztof Matyjaszewski.

Five outstanding Polish-Americans living in the West Coast USA received the “Wybitny Polak” Award. Congratulations to all laureates!
A disabled athlete, Janusz Radgowski will undertake his Pacific-Atlantic ‘super- marathon’ in an active wheelchair raising support for a two year old child, suffering from a brain illness. Zuzia was born with a complex genetic brain condition that severely affects her vision and physical development. Constant therapy and medical care is needed to help her develop a normal life.
