On 9-10th October, the city of Krakow hosts the CYBERSEC Forum 2017, one of the top cybersecurity conferences in Europe. The Forum is a two-day event engaging 130 speakers and more than 1,000 delegates from all over the world.

This year’s Bronisław Geremek’s Lecture took place on 18 November in the Auditorium of the Old Library of the University of Warsaw. The lecture was delivered by the former Prime Minister of Poland Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz. The title of the lecture was: Europe. Are we at a turning point?
“I’m glad to appoint a man who will be representing Poland at a major organisation,” Minister Grzegorz Schetyna said at a ceremony to present Professor Jacek Purchla with the act of appointment for President of the Polish National Commission for UNESCO.
“It’s worth being decent,” used to say Professor Władysław Bartoszewski (19th February 1922- 24th April 2015), former foreign minister, historian, writer, activist of the Polish Underground State, and former prisoner at the Auschwitz German Nazi concentration camp.
Vintage interiors of a Paris townhouse where Frederic Chopin once gave his concerts, embassy seats in Washington and London bought in 1921, and offices of diplomatic missions in Ankara and Sofia are some of the valuable buildings which saw the history of Polish diplomacy in the making. At a special event in the Library of Congress, representatives of the Book Art Museum from Lodz introduced to the public a unique anthology of Zbigniew Brzeziński’s drawings. The Polish Embassy in Washington co-hosted the presentation.
